Approximately 30 minutes south of Dream World and heading back towards the centre of the city is Wonder World Extreme Park. The history of his park is very chequered with it opening originally in 2006 but only one of the coasters operated and that was in 2011 and only for 2 weeks. Knowing that we thought we'd check it out on the very slim-off chance that it might be running.
Here's the clip I found that shows the launched coaster running.
Well the good news was that the park was open. The bad news was that it was "open" as in "abandoned". Nothing was running but we had free reign to walk amongst the rides, which we did until we decided we ought to be moving on.
This is either the shortest skycoaster or more likely one of those launched bungee variants.
This is a very strange booster variant, but I guess it's a novel way of dealing with throughput problems, ironically something this park would never have on account it never being open.
Not much more to say really. It's always a shame when a park has to close. It's just very odd that no attempts have been made to secure the park; things must have gotten really bad for this to happen.
